My EPIC Childhood PC / Computer Games!

04:41
Computer has played an important role in my life. It has made me develop the attitude to be curious and never stop learning. As most of the kids, I got my first computer because I wanted to play games! Here, I would like to thank my father for giving me my first computer. It is only because of him that I have learnt a little bit about computers.

I got my first computer way back in 2002. Compared to today it was not even quarter as powerful as my present computer still it costed twice as much as it! Since then playing games has been a part my computer learning experience. I have played a lot of games till now but the following games which I am about to list has been a part of growing up and holds a special place in my heart. I hope this list of games will help you refresh your childhood memories and bring a smile on your face!

Dangerous Dave

Dave was one of the games which I used to play most of the time. Collecting diamonds and hearts and then getting the cup in order to proceed with the levels was a fun task. Getting the gun and then killing the monsters was the most scary part.

Dangerous Dave

Mario

One of the most famous game in computer history is Mario. I loved playing this game. My favorite part of this game was to jump on the tortoise and toss it to kill the other monsters. Getting the mushroom and growing bigger was the EPIC part of the game.

Mario

Aladdin

I don't know how many of you have played this game but I just loved this game. This game was very well designed and was very funny. One particular funny part of the game was the fat round guy who's pants used to fall off when you threw an apple towards him.

Aladdin

Prince of Persia

Though there are lot of sequels of this game these days, the original game was pretty much EPIC. It was a very tricky game, especially the jumps. You had to jump properly to proceed forward else you would fall and kill yourself. Drinking from the vessel to gain life was the most relaxing part for me!

Prince of Persia

Road Rash

The first racing game I ever played was Road Rash. It was a bike racing game which I played a lot. Snatching the chain or bat from others and then beating the other racers was one EPIC part. One of my favorite part of the game was the AV that the game showed after you won a race.

Project IGI

I played this game for hours. Dragunov was my favorite weapon as I could kill the enemy with one shot. The graphics of the game was amazing considering the year it was launched.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein

I still can't believe the developers designed this game way back in 2001! From normal enemies to ghosts, this game had everything. The levels were so complex and graphics were so amazing that I could still compare today's game with it. As a kid, this game was a little bit scary for me!

Max Payne

How could I end the list without listing my favorite game? If you haven't played Max Payne, get it from somewhere and play it. Everything about this game is EPIC. My favorite part fo the game is bullet time which is freaking awesome. For me, Max Payne series is my favorite third person shooter game.

Max Payne

So there you have it, a list of my EPIC childhood computer games. There is one game which I didn't list in this list. It was Call of Duty. The first Call of Duty game was released in 2003. The reason why I didn't list it on the list is just because it didn't run on my computer! It was a big disheartening moment for me as I was so excited to play it by looking at its cover! Though I played it later in my life.
